Do you need Lair of the Lost Lord for the new equipment and skills?
When I read about the DLC, it said it came with a new dungeon and a 'repeat boss,' but it also mentioned new weapons, armors and skills separetely, so I became confused if the new skills and equipment are part of the DLC only, or if it was integrated into the game as a whole. Does anyone know?

The method packs and skills look interesting, but I'd like to know if it's part of the DLC or not! Just for clarification, I just got Bracken in my party (temporarily) so I'm not so far in that I can just check myself. D:

I'm pretty sure all the new weapons, skills etc are part of the DLC. We got a bunch of free stuff with the Adventure pack a few months back but Im pretty sure any new content is paid now. I think everyone got a patch regardless (I know I did) but that is probably the "minor bug fixes" Bandai Namco refer to on the release notes.

Yeah, the new weapons only drop in the labyrinth.

Same with the new combat technique. There's a cut scene that takes place there that introduces you to it.

Awh, that's a bummer. I was hoping that's what the patching was for, the weapons and skills. Oh well, thanks for the answer you two! I'll buy the season pass eventually I suppose. :D

When does that new combat technique come up? I went through 12 levels of the labyrinth, and didn't see it.

Also, do we know how many floors the labyrinth is? I found it interesting that all of the upgrades I did for the dreamer's maze worked in the labyrinth. What I didn't like was the fact that when you leave, you have to start over at floor 1. Maybe that will be an upgrade you can get at the multi-dimensional lab?

I gotta spoil a bit if you want a full description. Long story short, the cut scene takes place after you get to floor 23.

When you run into your first phantasm field monster, which for the sake of the narrative should be floor 23. Once you defeat it, you should get a visitor from Ding Dong Dell bringing you a letter and also Aranella's journal. Once you do that, you go meet Mousinger, then you go into Ding Dong Dell's sewers, fight the Knight guy and then that's where it teaches you about it.

You then can visit the Skirmish facilities (forget the names) in your kingdom to get a proper look at what it is.

Also, I think there are 60 floors, given how many spots for portals in the labryrinth hall. I've only been up to the mid 40s.

When I entered the labyrinth I had the choice of starting on 20. If you did the adventure dlc, you should skip to 20. The martial techniques with the upgrades makes it worth gathering whatever books you can. I did a variety of stuff but my character who had Ding Dong Dell set with Minnow and Shark unlocked was the one who won the (first) boss battle.

There is a topic on the gamefaqs PS4 board by a guy who say there are 100 floors and you can enter and exit every 20.

60 floors! Wow...... Good place to level though, and not as tough as the dreamers mazes, thankfully. Just have to get through the first 20, I guess. Thanks!

The martial art techniques make it a new game. There are possible weapons, armor and accessories which are overpowered but it is the techs which change the game.

I say possible on the equips because it seems to be random. Some drop from bosses, some are in the orb chests, some from random battles and some from the random red chests. I have about 20 pieces of special equipment but only 1 ring, 1 wand and no hammers. I have 10 axes and 4 of them are dupes.

I am sure I am only halfway using the new techs but still they are game changing.

I can confirm floors are 100 and you get a new portal unlocked every 20.
