Dreamers Maze floor 31

Hey all, I’ve done the research that lets me start at different floors in the dreamers maze and I’ve switched to hard mode and been playing a bit in the 31+ floors but I can’t seem to start from floor 31. I have to go back to floor 21 and do those first 10 floors again. Is that right? Is there no way to start at floor 31? Bit of a pain if you have to start back at floor 21 again but just wondered if maybe I am missing something? Thanks!

You can only start at lvl 31 after beating the boss on the 40th floor and then researching the last upgrade at the hyperdimensional lab.
