At Hydropolis, about the characters..

Apparently we get 4 male characters and 2 girls? Why not an even split?

The big question is: Why Batu... Why do I need him in my party? He's slow, he's useless.

Take any of the dog-girls from Goldpaw and add one to my party instead of him. Such nice design on those characters but we don't get a single demihuman in the party, aside from Evan who is a half.

Have you heard of temporary characters? It would have been fine to make Batu join temporarly until the ship is built and then he would leave and stay in the kingdom due to him getting seasick. We have Tani as the sky pirate rep in the party, no need for Batu.

I get it, this game is already made. Just pointing out that Batu is pretty much a useless filler character that should have been replaced with a third female character, one from Goldpaw. Maybe Hoi Den or Min Ti.

Batu is going to forever sit in the backline for me, he's not going to see the light of day in battle. Except for that one time when I actually tried him out and he died cus his attack animations are long and slow.

Leander is actually good, so why Batu... Ugly.. slow.. useless and after the part in goldpaw with the fat duebill bird, never funny again.

Edit: Looks like there are some nice merfolk who could join in Hydropolis instead of Batu. I'm sure i'l run into more. There are so many well-designed characters, much better for the party than Batu is.

I seriously question the creator's decision to include Batu in the party...

Batu is standard warrior/tank guy. Maybe some kids like him.

I don't need an even split exactly. What I want, and expect is to be able to field an all-girl party. So if party size is 3, I want there to be at least 3 girls. You can then make 100 guys, they'l just be sitting in the back so who cares.

Hmph. Such low intelligence comments.

Why do I want an all-girl party? The answer is simple. Because girls are better. In a perfect world women would rule.

If the game creator made the girls weaker statwise, I will use cheats to correct those stats so the girls are stronger as they should be.

If only I could do that in real life. Though there is a plan in my mind on how to do that, or at least work towards such a future.

the dog girls on the other hand, are overwhelmingly cute

I must agree, it is a real shame to design all these great looking characters but make the main party pretty much all humans. Evan is half Gimalkin but he looks human.

Don't know about ugly though, the characters are not ugly.

The animal races here are a throwback to the Breath of Fire series, yet unlike in Breath of Fire you do not get any of the animal races as party members...

Food for thought for a third game if they plan on making one.
