Have to disable HDR to launch the game at the moment. This used to work fine, but now i just get black screen and flashing with HDR enabled in game. Anyone else having problems?

I've raised a driver feedback thing with Nvidia about the issue as I think this might have started with the 411/416 drivers. Wonder if there's any chance of getting the devs to have a look into this.

I have the same issue. Was running fine the other day, then I update to Nvidia 417.01 and had the black screen issue and then it would say that I had no signal. Couldn't find a way to disable the HDR option through Nvidia so I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Been fine to play since I disabled HDR but I'd like it back again asap!

Last driver that worked with it for me is 399.24. I have tested a downgrade and proven this on my system. Naturally downgrading to 399.24 just for Ni No Kuni HDR is a crappy solution, so i do hope someone looks at it soon.

Oh strange that it's affected with different drivers. I assumed because everyone with Nvidia were having the same problem (at least I think so as I've not seen anyone say they're using AMD and having the issue) that it was drvier related. Perhaps it's something within the game that affects Nvidia users only, perhaps? Not that tech savvy so stuff like that boggles my mind :P

Ok guys after weeks of fighting with this game i've figured out how to get HDR on without glitching screen. What you need to do is turn off HDR on your windows display option (basically turn off HDR on your desktop) then you start the game in windowed mode. Get to the the settings menu, turn off HDR in the menu, turn on full screen and once the game is in fullscreen with the correct resolution turn on HDR and the game will work.

So basically the desktop windows HDR needs to be off to play Ni No Kuni 2 with HDR.

I have desktop HDR off, but how do i start it in windowed mode ? I guess no other way than reinstall game and not use HDR becuse this is broken mess sadly. It was working when i started and couple times after that, but then suddenly it just started to do this glitchy flashing and cant play anymore.

EDIT: NVM got it started on windowed and disabled HDR, now its working again but sad i cant use HDR...

Doesn't work for me unfortunately. Whatever I do, the screen starts flickering as soon as I switch to full screen + HDR.

You need to turn off HDR on desktop and then start the game in windowed mode. If the game is flickering use alt+Enter to get it to go windowed mode or reverify the game properties will usually reset the graphics options. Once you get to the game turn off the HDR and go fullscreen. After your in full screen turn the HDR back on.
