How obligatory is the kingdom building aspect?
My main interest in playing this game is the story and the combat. I also love the fact that it isn't a very long JRPG. I am very happy I will be playing this throughout march and april. But my issue is with the whole kingdom building crap, seriously, that does not interest me at all.

How much of it are we forced to do? And will it affect me if I do the bare minimum? In the sense that the game will be harder to beat, etc?

Thanks

From what little I've seen in the reviews. It can be ignored for the most part other than some of the few obligatory parts to move on in the main story. No clue how true that is though.

Rebuilding the kingdom seems to be a good main part of the story

I'm hoping it's not that necessary, I'm really not interested in it either. Fingers crossed it's either better than it looks or can be ignored!

It's needed for progression in certain points of the story from what i've read. So yeah it's basically mandatory.

According to Kotaku, you have to upgrade the weapons facility to level 4 in order to beat the game, so I'd say that some development is "mandatory" but the full fledged portion is optional

It seems to be important in terms of building weapons, upgrading weapons, and learning spells.

I kinda like the look of the building aspect of the game, it reminds me a bit of Dark Clouds village building.

How much of the game is Kingdom Building? I really don't care for JRPG's and heavily combat oriented games.
