How many hours for completionist?

everyone talks about 40 hours which is waaaay to less for a jrpg. is that really true? i was hoping for a game i can get at least 100 hours out of it

70-80 hours to get all achievements (that for this game means doing almost 100% of the content).

People like to ♥♥♥♥♥. It seems to be particularly prominent on Steam forums unfortunatelly. This place is like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cancer.

In terms of time, it takes 35-50 hours to finish the game and 70-100+ to complete it entirely. Two more DLCs will be added that'll expand that further so don't worry too much about time.

Easy Allies talk about 30 Hours for the Main Story and Side-Quests. I prefer 30 Hours of Quality over 70 Hours of Grinding Crap *g* ;)

even though i marked a post as an answer, im still wondering since the game has been out for a week now

any more opinions on how long this game is?

thats really the only thing in my mind before i purchase it since it really is an expensive game

There is at least one person with 65 hours played here and he doesn't have every achievement.

And the DLCs aren't even out yet, it's a pretty long game.

Man are you afk? Im on 66h and just missing 3 more achievements. 50x golden sphere and the skirmish + completionist.

73 hours in and i'm missing 3 sidequests that requires to grind the maze for materials for new outfits, it's quite boring and rely too much on rng.
I also still have to kill all tainted monsters and open every chests an find every higgledies. So quite a few hours before me.

FFXV takes alot more time than 100h ^^ I just say, Chocobo Level 100 achievement -.-

i finished the mainquest and 5 dreamdoors in about 31 hours.
Did also defeated quite a bit of tainted monsters as well.

Probably halfway on the quest list and 4 dream doors away for completioning, going to take about 15 hours i would guess, so about 45 to 50 is more realistic to have the game completed.

there is no grinding in the game since it is so easy, but there is a mod out there that can fix that issue so your lifespan could be enhanced with that (i played on ps4, so no mods for me sadly)
