u can still done as long as u got stinkly, npc say dont matter what size or look like

Any news on this? Is it recommend to switch to normal difficulty to get the drop maybe quicker? What are the best ways to farm? First dreaming dungeon?

Got mine on second run of last dreaminmg portal where you get the black dreaming fragment in the snowy area. It was a stinky knights shoe from a seller.

i got a "stinky shoes" on any chest iin the labyrith dungeon make sure the "laden with treasure" is active.

Stumbled upon this thread when randomly googling about the game. It's horrible seeing a sidequest with this kind of mechanism.
Anyway, I'm still in early game and just checked my inventory and happen to have a "stinky whirlwind boots", will this work for the sidequest later on? Or do i need to have "stinky shoes" specifically?

I had stinky knights shoes, should be irrelevant what stinky shoes you have got.

As long as the shoes are described as Stinky or Smelly, it will work for the quest
