As you say dynastystar, multiple methods mentioned... not sure what makes you think they havent been tried see'ing as you were right here in the discussion with me during that time period this discussion started.
But maybe i'll give that grimchilla pranger another try sometime when I feel like potentially wasting a month or so of my time. Who knows, maybe I wont be so 'lucky' as I was before.
IDK whats up with you tho, its like you do not understand. I am not saying its impossible. But it is absolutely a terrible quest that should be tweaked. Keep telling me its possible all you want, I don't give a flying rats ass anymore.

I am not still here to try and get this quest finished, im through with even trying. F that ♥♥♥♥.
I am here to point out to the devs that the quest can be quite problematic if they would care to address it at all.
Which btw... I do want to thank you for attempting to help me back then, and even now. But yea... enough is enough. Them shoes, and the quest by extension are just not worth the effort.
Or, if they dont address it then I guess I will just forever have a quest on my log that will never be complete. Assuming that even matters, once I return to this game it will only be to complete a few DLC.
I mean, screw it right? Just not worth it.
Who in their right mind even tells someone that this is possible when what they should be looking at is why the difference is so large? Someone who got lucky and thinks therefore everyone else should get it just as easily. >.>
And hey, president... if you think that vast difference means I was doing something wrong... its absolutely possible but I followed everyones advice here, including Dynastystars advice. No new advice came forth and I spent a massive amount more time on this than the people simply saying "keep trying".

Also,.. you spent approximately 2-5 hours or so from what you first conveyed.
As mentioned, peanuts next to what I HAVE invested, "at any one individual tactic mentioned here on this thread" ANY SINGLE ONE INDIVIDUALLY invested much more time than you.
This isnt a competition or comparison tho and there isnt some mythical benchmark of time invested that I should have to reach in order to have the point I am making here, so I do not know why you are turning it into one. The only thing that matters is that the quest can get this rediculous.
Even your peanuts for hours is kind of silly comparitively to other quests of this kind in the game. Alot of them are easily completely in mere minutes with the crafting.
If this wasnt so long after the fact, I would be all kinds of hateful towards you. You have no idea what kind of ass you are to state that after I have literally said I HAVE invested loads of time and much much more than whats reasonable. Let me put it this way, if the potential to play the game three times over isnt good enough for you, and you want an exact amount(which I dont have, not like I was timing this)... would the approximation of everyday gaming over the span of a month satisfy you? Or would I then need to backtrack and figure out how many hours were invested each day, if I skipped each day, ect ect... just tell me, how stupid about this do you want to be?
And hey, thanks for being biased against me and what i've done so far to try and solve the issue, even tho you literally offered nothing new to solve the situation since having begun telling me to just keep doing the things I have already done. I can respect that I may have been doing something wrong or maybe I just need that 1 more second of grinding, but as I mentioned... i've followed everyones advice here and you are the one that seems to think just because you got lucky, everyone else just automatically should get something within the same timeframe.

Sorry for the issue. I never intended for this to devolve to the equivalent of a 2 year old level squabble. But please understand I also did not expect to be met with such a bizarre standpoint and comments.
Nothing ever gets done about real issues because of conflicts like these. It really sucks.
So the first thing you do is pop on here to necro and offer a bit of sarcasm,....? That was a pure troll comment.
It doesnt help the discussion, or those who have gotten screwed by the RNG. And as already discussed earlier, the higher your level the more difficult this issue becomes. How difficult? Well no one really knows and our miles vary greatly. Most who have ran into this issue are not willing to restart the whole game just to have better odds.
If you were to at least tell us your character level when you got the shoes(and if those are even the right shoes) then at least there would be some use as a reference.
