So about Bracken...(spoilers)
'it's not my leg'
...
I mean, cute scene on Zips part and all but...
She looked like she was like, what, maybe 15? 17 at most in that scene?
She got over losing her leg way too fast for 'just a friend' as the game implies...
If she was older, like 20 or so...maybe, but still...

I feel that a lot of the game's writing is rushed (Evan also gets over Anella's death way too fast, this woman practically raised him like a mother, a ten - 14 year old would not get over a loss that harsh that quickly.) But the few good moments there are, while short, are really good...I just wish they had more time to sink in. I would have not minded evan getting over Nella's death if there was more time given for the loss itself to sink in, and him spending more time growing up from it. Instead he goes back to being a 12 year old king child...

The story and char development all seems pretty rushed to me. You don't really spend much time in each new town/land either unless you are doing all the side stuff.

Regardless, game still offers enough things to make it a great game.

At least Evan remembers Anella as he keeps talking about promise he gave her even in the end of the game...It’s a minor issue compared to

they don’t even mention who is Ferdinand's mother and Evan’s wife/Queen. It’s like Evan impregnated himself and gave birth[\spoiler]

Probably they keep it for DLC. Overall I agree, game is beautiful but feels rushed and final scene far from complete.

I feel like the DLC will explore more backgrounds, but it really is not the same as experiencing everything together at once. A 2nd play through won't feel the same either.

Yeah, the writing is good...a bit better than the first game in my opinion, but it's certainly rushed.
I get to enjoy the boat for one continent, and 'oh look, airship time!' ... what was the point of even doing the boat if it was only gonna be there for one chapter? lol

Also...enough with the fake 'temporary party member' trend in JRPG...
Like seriously, if I had a dime for every time this trope popped up and then the party member ended up joining later anyway, I'd be producing my own game with a fully staffed studio... lol

I won't even start 2nd playthrough until all DLCs are released. Because what's the point in spending time if game is not complete without DLCs?

I completely agree. Also there are so many generic quests like: "bring me mushroom, bring me fish" and such. One or two quests is enough but there are so many of these quests. It's not challenging. It's boooring....

Anyway my major complaint is the ending.

What happened to key characters who supported Evan? Tani for example..she supposed to be Evan's soulmate so what's her role in future kingdom? With the current ending it feels like she never existed....What happened to other characters? Evan wouldn't become king without their support and yet...he gets all attention in the end. [\spoiler]

Verdict: no point in 2nd playthrough until both DLCs are released.

At least in this game those generic quests (at least a good chunk of em, like 70%) end up netting you one of your 100 + citisens of Evermore. Still kinda BS you have to track them down and progress the story at times but still.

Can't wait to see what the fully constructed Evermore looks like. but it's gonna be a PAAAIN going to grab everything, and do all the sidequests.

Wait for all DLCs and start new game to get full story. This is what I'm planning to do personally.
