Stolen key?

Apparently I'd gotten a key for this ages ago and forgot to actually make use of it (late March last year, I guess?) but it's saying the code has already been used by someone else. Which is a bunch of crap since I had yet to actually see the code with my own two eyes. am I just SOL here?

Yes. You are. I suspect it's from an old bundle or something? It would be logical as I remember that bundle sellers like IndieGala or Humble strongly recommend activating a key within a time period. Like, a few months or a year. This may have changed, I did not buy anything bundled for over a year now. But it was still the case in 2019. Maybe the key you haven't used was meanwhile sent to someone else?

They shouldn't send a key to anyone at all if they're just going to reuse it. They wouldn't even know if it's used or not.

I agree. But, alas, this is how things work.

However, you may try emailing them that you have an unused key which is giving you that message. Maybe they'll send a replacement.

Nope. From the sounds of it, they don't help with that (anymore) and I've got nothing I can do about it.
