If a reward system for leveling is implemented I think it should be cosmetic only.
The game would discourage new players if vets had better stats, they already have the advantage of knowing the game better.
In single player games I wouldn't mind but in a multiplayer game I think it's a very bad idea.
RO2/RS did this and it was garbage. In some extend that's what Battlefront did.
Vets with better kits can easily kill the fun for noobs but being able to show your wonderful mustache or your grey hairs to show you're a vet has no effect on gameplay and in my opinion, is way cooler than better stats.
Melee isn't great right now but they're working on improving it, as for accuracy maybe they will tweak it one day.
Adding to that, why did they introduce kicking and shoving? In Mount and Blade Naploen, that was a relic that got carried over from Warband where kicking was useful in bashing shields in or pushing enemies away as archers.
Perfection is when there is nothing more to take away, but right now the devs are adding unnecessary fluffs.
Lots of the new maps look very Mount&Blade-esque in my impression. I fear that the devs are trying to make this game more like Mount&Blade in the areas that shouldn't matter.
