Ok I'm going to assume you have Windows hopefully
1. go to sounds
2. go to recording
3. enable stereo mix
4. go to Audio in Holdfast
5. change microphone from default to Stereo mix
6. Chooose some bada$$ music
7. Enjoy

Uninstall VACs or they will get in the way
Also don't play earrape or a lot of people will mute you which means if you use voice they won't hear you unless you are unmuted. I personally unmute everyone after 6 months and then start doing it again if they are still earraping.
See you on the battlefield!

And i still dont understand why everyone of you trying to put your taste of music by force to anothers players ears :(
Sabaton, Two Step From Hell, some really, really bad techno... it is so boring and distasteful.
Do you know you could listen yours music alone, without showing it to another players?
On the other side, when i was 12 years old, i wanted show my "unique" style by throwing it on people who didnt give a ♥♥♥♥ about it... So i suppose it is some kind of retribution for my sins :(

Have fun with your game! (and thanks to developers for P button)

Mute works only per game round right ?

Otherwise it would be quiete bad if mute would be permanent because the game needs communication. And probably difficult to find those people again to unmute, so far I see the list shows only the current user in the game round.

Love the way how people can play all kind of music, sometimes it doesnt fit but most of the time the music is alright, sometimes even traditional military march music is played and
there are some player with funny sounds i.e. banzaai shout. Thats a very unique gameplay and refreshing. Actually, its rare that I had to mute someone i.e. shouting into the microphone or when the music was too loud.

Well said! I love the chat in this game , some of it is hilarious and the game itself is excellent. This game for me has been a great find and came out of nowhere when I got it in the sale at Xmas. This and War of Rights.

But some of the music! not all of it but a lot of people play some awful tat - I like the traditional stuff that is in keeping with the game in some way but we regularly get people blasting gangster rap and Euro pop- these guys get put straight on mute.

Some I guess are doing it for comedy purposes - but others I feel are just trying to put their music tastes out there which is a bit daft.

Nope, it’s permanent so people don’t need to mute the same people every round and have to remember all their names. It’s easy to unmute people as well because they’ll always have a red icon if they’ve been muted so it’s just a matter of finding the name.

I’m sure you’re already aware of it but if you turn VOIP to 0 everyone will be silent, that’s a useful alternative to individually muting everyone that players music or is too loud or a bad quality mic etc.

It's funny because it's true. I used to think my musical taste was so important and everyone should listen to the stuff I liked. People playing music in game has truly made me realise how annoying I used to be. I would add the P button as a friend on steam if I could. And I feel sorry for the music spammers who decide one day they'd rather use voip to talk to other players because they will find a lot of people won't actually hear them. Maybe they should have considered that before they decided to force their in game music choice on others.

Thank god it is permanent....
Without it public battles would be unplayable, because of flood of music spammers.

After reading this thread I did a little experiment, I turned VOIP to 0 and also unchecked chat in options, the result was actually quite surprising to me.
I had expected it to be a boring and empty experience, having essentially demoted the rest of the player base to bot status, however, and although I stress I've only done it for maybe 10 to 20 rounds or so, I actually found it quite refreshing. I certainly didn't miss experienceing peoples godawfull taste in music, and if I'm perfectly honest, it was a relief not to hear or even read anyones comments ( kinda like the silence you get when a newborn finally goe's to sleep ).

It might get boring after a while, and it's probably not for everybody, but for now I'm enjoying playing the game with these options.
Also as a bonus, on a snowy night map last night I heard a wolf howling in the distance, something that even with over 1000 hours played I'd never noticed before.

Thats funny cos quite a few of us have been joking about the devs adding wolves, polar bears and penguins to the snowy maps for quite some time. I wonder if this was the devs listening and having a little joke by adding a wolf howl or if it was something thats always been there and no one had noticed it.

I'm guilty of spamming music and the like but I try to get actual catchy songs and not my personal playlist, i try to find battle music and speeches from various movies. Just look up a video on youtube.

The memes and music spammers is why I bought this game and to be honest, I'M LOVING IT!!! Even bought it for some of my friends as well. The memes make an already good game GREAT for me

Why did you revive a 3 year old post just to leave that reply?

Man is a Titan. He can even resurrect 10 thousand years old beasts and you get surprised for a mere post...

And you just revived a 5-month old post for... no reason at all.
