Surgeons should revive, not heal.
Title. Or both. As it is, the only way to take damage and not die is via getting stabbed, which happens a fair bit, but most die quickly after or wont allow a Surgeon to heal them. Instead they should be able to revive troops (probably ones shot in non-lethal areas like legs, arms, and certain parts of the chest) for a dozen or so seconds after they're hit.

I don't really like the idea of reviving troops, i'll like better a injury system like :
if you're shot in a leg you can't run anymore and even limp if your hp is low
if you're shot in the arm your ads time is increased a little and you are less precise.
if your HP is too low (below 50%) you start bleeding and lose hp as time goes by unless a medic heals you.

Well as the game gets closer to completion damage will be based on many different factors and won't be as simple as it currently is in this bare-bones stage. Surgeons will definitely have a much more viable role as healers as time goes on.

ima let you finish, but we are sadly, as far off as DayZ to full release as far as i can tell

enjoy the game for what it is NOW for maximum enjoyment or necropost

hope for a $1 tier humble bundle to add life to the game, but it sadly seems finished.

i have seen no evidence of it even getting to beta, much less finished. i have been playing this alpha for about a year now.

enjoy it for what it is. it is absolutely awesome at that

Well unfortunately that's the way it looks currently if you're a mostly public player and don't have access to the testing the developers have been doing with the regimental community recently. I don't believe I'm allowed to give any details but I will say the future is very exciting :)

I've never survived a stabbing and rarely survive getting shot. Flag bearers on the other hand cab be stabbed several times before finally dying. I stabbed one three times getting, "Enemy hit 10" each time before finally getting him on the fourth stab. That was one of the rare times a flag bearer didn't have to just look in my directon for me to drop dead.
