Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Demo Ver.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Demo Ver.

Can someone explain the concept to me?
So i've never played one before (must I play the previous 2 to play this?) If not cool. But what do you do in the game besides try and find the bad guys?

I repeat, it's not completely new. It's very complicated to explain without spoiling it, just trust me.
I feel you should at least play the first game to get a general grasp on how this game will be played. You don't have to but I would strongly recommend it if you know nothing about the way Dangan works. They may explain it in V3 but I feel certain aspects change for each game so the first one is rather simple. Plus the story is really good and once you play the first one, you really should play the second one if you care about plot. I was new to Dangan and accidently spoiled a few deaths because of how confusing it was trying to pass certain parts of the trials lol
Edgy phoenix wright with a bit of galge gameplay. Every game is the same except for a few new mechanics that only appear 1 or 2 times per case.

It's not really edgy at all, and you say DR plays exactly the same? I love it and all, but Ace Attorney has less additions in gameplay every game than DR. DR gives several new mechanics, and polishes up old mechanics, every game. Ace Attorney adds in maybe one mechanic every game. Maybe two on rare occasions. That's it.

Just play DR1, DR2, and watch DR3 and/or read a synopsis since DR3 isn't all that great.

UDG isn't very important, and while there are a few mangas which elaborates on some of the characters, none of them are particulary good and aren't important to the story.

Despite how the game was advertised, DR1-3 are important in order to get the most out of V3's story.

Don't forget about Zero. Never forget about Zero.

DR Zero is unimportant and honestly pretty mediocre.

I disagree completely. 0 is really good, and it gives more insight into Junko's character and how her plan works. And how she was able to wipe everyone's memories, which they never explained in DR1

I totally agree with Ushiromiya, it's definitely important. And I liked it. I mean, it has its boring parts, but it still is really enjoyable and perfect when you have nothing to do.
By important, people generally mean integral to understanding the overall story. Which it isn't, as I'm a fan that understands everything so far and hasn't read it.

Except you don't understand everything. By not reading Zero, you don't know about a lot of stuff.

The problem is: Zero *IS* integral to understand the whole plot. Without Zero a lot of stuff stays unsolved and the general plot is left with holes.
What holes? 3 games and the final anime left me with no questions. And there's not even an official English release. We don't need it.

Yeah, we do, though. It's pretty damn integral because you're left with many questions otherwise
What questions? Seriously? :neilfacepalm:
