Great game, BUT...

Was getting really into this game. I think I was close to my first win. Then my power goes out. Me: "Pleasepleaseplease auto-save..." Turn game back on. Not only did it not auto-save, but my previous save was gone.

A week later, I haven't been able to bring myself to load this game back up. Such a bummer. I understand it's a roguelike and you're trying to preserve the integrity of the game by not letting people save scum, etc., but please do something like Slay the Spire and keep the auto-saves coming. Or find some other work around. Will be moving on to the next game. Loved the concept, though.

Strange, my game autosaves pretty often. It seems to happen generally after each node you reach? Seeing you go to a lot of nodes, you should be getting saved quite a bit...

Might have to do with improperly closing the game. I can't be sure, but what I stated 100% happened as outlined. Appreciate the response.

Hmm, I guess if it puts it into a weird state it makes sense. I do know the save files are updated after each node...but it's possible that "crashing" the game puts it in a state that can't be opened again.

My suggestion is to search here for the location of the save games and copy them to a different folder once in awhile. This is what I did for awhile until I learned the game. Saved with some of the frustration of dying early on...but I guess it's not technically in the "spirit" of permadeath. I just don't have time for that so I "cheat" :)
