Castle of the Winds anyone?

I'm tempted to say that this is a ripoff of classic Castle of the Winds from the glorious shareware epoch of Windows 3.11

I love this kind of games, but please refer your inspirations because this is no innovation.

I'd be much more inclined to say that this reminds me of Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol. Also a game from the era of Windows 3.x. I'm not sure I would go as far as ripoff more like inspired by, but it's more than possible that the dev didn't know they existed--both are more than 20 years old now.

I enjoyed both of those games greatly and hopefully this one will be a fantastic too!

IMO: I can see where you're coming from, since the looks of things Kingsway looks like it takes a lot of inspiration from similar games. Differences stand out where this game is based around finctioning more like an operating system rather than these two games just, as far as I'm awarebeing the way they are because that's how most good RPGs worked in those days.

I played castle of the winds and this game has almost nothing in common? I can think of plenty of castle of the winds ripoffs, but this one seems a bit of a stretch.

This seems a bit pedantic. Every new FPS doesn't refer to DOOM nor do RTS refer to Ancient Art of War nor does every video game in general refer to Spacewar. It would be one thing if Kingsway claimed to be completely unique but that's not something I've seen.
