Game is too difficult or am I missing something
The game was pleasant enough until sometime around the 3rd data fragment (I think it just was after the dream sequence of the apartment) the robots become permanently hostile.

The ground level robots are bad enough but the floating turrets in the sky are a whole new level of frustration. Nothing fun about being constantly bombarded from the sky and not being able to hit them back because they are out of range. They can hit you through buildings, they can hit you when your spawning (after loading a save) before you can even see or move and they can hit you when your trying to open a door but the game has disabled interaction with doors because your in a conversation.

One or two hits from the robots is enough to completely drain your health. I was popping health packs every 10 seconds while running between locations. Trying to find where to go in this game is difficult enough already. You can get a few seconds of respite if your lucky to find some sheet metal but that is a rare find.

As I had built up quite a few health packs from the earlier portion of the game I was able to continue until maybe the 5th data fragment but my supply inevitably ran out.

Are the robots really meant to be this hostile? Is there some special weapon, shield or game mechanic that I'm missing?

Hi NobsterTheLobster! Thanks for playing the game! It's not meant to be quite this difficult and we're actually in the process of updating it right now - especially that huge sky droid way up above. It can be a pain. It was originally meant to encourage running and a feeling of panic but we went too far with it and it doesn't work for some play styles. We're dialing it back a ton in the next update coming out soon.

Also thought I'd share a few tips in case they might help...

Outside of the Quadrant 7 Storage area there's a makeshift shield there that can block any projectile (although it can only block a limited amount of projectiles).
It's possible to shoot projectiles with the Ion Drill weapon before they reach you, though it can be difficult. It's easier when using the time well ability.
Also one thing that I got accustomed to is using the time well ability to throw impact grenades, sticky bombs, and EMP bombs on the droids to get rid of them quickly.

Thanks once again and your feedback is incredibly helpful!

I really must commend you on the continued support and especially on the continued updates. The latter in particular is not something you see that often. You obviously take pride in your work.

I look forward to see what you come up with.

Hi NobsterTheLobster,

Thanks for hanging in there with us! We've just pushed an update to address the combat difficulty outdoors. Hopefully it feels better.

All the best,

Larry
