Ok, I'm stuck in the Distillery at the very beginning.

It seems like I need to knock the dropping explosive barrel into the wall with the red glowing thing on it but ... I can't do it! My Symmetrical Lance just passes through it, and my Ice Shards only knock it back at me...

Yeah Ice Shards are bugged. I don't know about symmetrical lance though. It should work but then again so should Ice Shards 😂
Try throwing your head at it if you've beaten the game before and have that ability.

I just tested symm lance on the falling barrels and it does reflect them. It's just a difficult timing because of how slow the lance is. So you have to plan your swings ahead.

Yeah, I eventually managed to get the right timing. It was weird because it had been looking like it connected but it wasn't connecting after all...
