Question about scrolls of power.

I watched a video that said you shouldn't try to distribute scrolls evenly and that it's better to focus on one skill at a time. But sometimes for example I'm going for a brutality build, but the scroll of power only has tactics/survival to choose from. Should I just try to avoid scrolls after a certain point or maybe it's more that you should invest in 2 skills but not all 3?

First things first, you should always take every scroll you can. There's no downside for taking more scrolls (there sort of was in old versions, in case you run into old threads about this topic). As for the two stat scrolls, the specific pairing is random, but it's heavily weighted against your highest stat, so if you've got 10 red, 2 purple and 2 green, purple/green scrolls will be way more common than red/purple or red/green scrolls. It may also be worth noting that most biomes contain a guaranteed number of dual scrolls, but their specific type is not decided until you arrive. Generally it's best to evenly split those between your two non primary stats, since that will always trend toward the most bonus health. There are some niche scenarios where it might make sense to put all of them into one (e.g. putting as many as possible into red, any dual scrolls you can't into purple, and none into green) but this not as useful as it was in older versions of the game where there were items that could scale off of two stats at once. The main reasons you might want to do that now would be for reasons involving off color mutations.

TLDR: Put as many scrolls as the game will let you into one stat, evenly distribute the rest.
