If you don't have enough damage (strengh) or can't manage to get in range before you miss your dodge every single run, maybe try someting else ?
A skill based run could be just as fun and deal enough damage to kill the tentacles at a distance.
An health based one gives you an insane amount of health, scales with your potions and give you more time to take down the tentacles. You can even sit still, let them hit you and get your health back by hitting them...
If a strengh build isn't for you, you have other choices. I have no problem dodging them now that I know their pattern of attack, even got the no hit achievement a few days ago.
The game is fun and I tried pretty much all the builds:
• Strengh and Skill pretty much allows you to kill everything fast in every room.
• Health lets you tank every single attack of any enemy, heal back up from hitting them and when you get to 10-20%, drink a potion a go back to almost full to do it all over again.
Both routes are fun, just give it a try ;)
I actually relied solely on my 2 grenades and after 15/20 minutes i got it at 4/5th of his full hp. The tentacles arent really that bad, the hitbox and speed it runs away / toward you is mad
Lowering their health when they are still blue negate their purple/red animation: they will die in one or two hits.
I'm not even saying that's the only way to go: i've killed him may times by pure brute force (i get hit ? whatever, i'll hit back and regain 90% of my health). But it's easy to do, and it works quite well.
