Secret Area that kills you if you're cursed in Ancient Sewers

This is the second time in two days that I've rolled into a secret before realizing it was the one where the alchemist's gun used to be. You know, the one that basically forces you to take a dip into the poison. It immediately kills you when you're cursed. That isn't fair.

Why it isn't fair? Cursed chests are not mandatory in any way. You just got killed.

Knowing that exists in Ancient Sewers I avoid going into unseen secrets while cursed. Play smarter.

It's not clear from the entrance to the secret that it is the alchemist gun area. I seriously doubt this secret was intended to punish cursed players, and even if it was, it's a super cheap death with no options to mitigate or adapt. Some secrets have hazards, but you can avoid them with good gameplay. Not the case here. No gameplay decisions to be made here except "Don't enter secrets in the ancient sewers", which isn't an interesting decision.

I agree that it's one of the few punishing secret areas, but I agree with the above posters, too. You should be able to identify that one fairly easily by the way that passage looks. I always avoid that one now, since it's not worth the loss of my kill streak.
