Just start mashing attack when the host zombie dies and you're golden.
On a Survival build I beg to differ. I just continued slashing. Sure I took some hits but those were just scratches when looking at my HP pool.
Even if their strength and speed remained the same, their ability to TELEPORT is waayyy too overpowered and unnecessary for what they are/supposed to be. These are supposed to be spawn - a lesser enemy like the flood in halo. The flood die instnatly, but you let the population get out of control, you get screwed. THAT is what the corpse worms should be
Personally i never had issues with them, but eh, looks like the devs agreed with you.
