Slowdown and stutter
So it seams they aren't going to fix this? Is GL a good option or is it inferior to DX?

I thought I was the only one to experience them. Huh.

Well, I experienced some fps drops since I started playing Dead Cells (v1.1), as I'm playing on pretty old laptop (2012). Dropping to much below 60fps with Maskers on the screen or map window open. Rest of the game was pretty fine, but with every single update, and new biomes, content etc. added, I see more and more issues. For a long time, even when game kept 60fps, I experienced micro-stutters (not only me TBH), like single frame drop every few seconds, Somehow it got better/fixed with one of the recent updates (1.8 or something), but there's crap ton more things honestly like not registering or missing my key presses and such. And I thought maybe it's issue of "me" and not the game, but after spending more than 700h with it, some on N Switch, I can definitely say it's issue with the game and/or platform itself. Not a deal breaker really, but may be an issue to some. And just because of it, just knowing some of my action could be screwed (and entire run fked because of it), I play DC less and less recently. Just not fun and optimal to experience the game having technical issues. Especially in the title what DC is like.
Just a reminder, fullscreen (and sometimes borderless windowed fullscreen) modes give apps exclusive GPU access which can make up to 20fps difference on fairly good setups. Me for example I have GTX1650, i7 9750h and 16gb ddr4 ram and when I play windowed while watching youtube on the second monitor fps is around 40-45fps with considerable stutters. When I switch to fullscreen it just stays at 60 unless it's a loading screen or first couple seconds on the new level EVEN THOUGH i explicitly told Dead Cells to use high performance GPU in Display settings

It's not directly issue of GPU, but Windows or DirectX and how full screen/rendering works.
But I agree this shouldn't be an issue.
