PS5 controller not recognized

Hi, I just bought the game for the controller compability. But it seems like the game is not recognizing my controller. I have tried other games, it works fine there, but not for this game.

I have tried several things to make it work, but it has been 2 hours of trying things. Nothing seems to work. Anyone having the same issue? Are the DEV’s going to fix this? It seems like a lot of players are having issues with controllers.

Why recommend using a controller in the start screen if it is not even working properly.

Has anyone found a fix?

EDIT: I am using Mac BigSur 11.4 (20F71)

I can't speak to Mac OS specifically, but my PS5 controller works as long as I set Playstation Configuration Support in Controller General Settings.

But I don't know how functionality options change from OS to OS.

Edit: just saw your other message. I'll have to test this once and see if they messed it up)

On a PC, I'm at the Controller settings in the Options menu but I don't see "Playstation Configuration Support."

All I see are Vibration, Move with the D-Pad, and button bindings.

Do you still have the option in the latest version?

I am using PS5 controller. Yes, game does not support it natively.
Download 3rd party programm - DS4Windows, it translates PS5 controller to DualShock4 and game recognizes it perfectly.

It's in Steam settings / Controller / General controller settings (or something like that). It enables that inputs from a DualSense are handled by Steam. They are translated to Xinput inputs by default; that can be configured.
