The best legendaries
They are all good enough, but what are the best in your opinion legendaries you saw?

I do not like a Broadsword at all(too slow), but this legendary version brought an extremely easy run. Even in the castle, the knights were killed with single hit.

Although this sword for some reason lost almost all damage on the bosses(bug?).

Also saw legendary Pyrotechnics with oil applying effect, which gives constant crits. That's cool.

A problem with Legendaries right now is that they give no "stats" scrolls even thought they are technically higher tier than S rank. Or is it on purpose for having much higher damage? Still hurt certain build as taking a legendary hurts your other 2-3 slots by having no scrolls.

I had a legendary spiked shield on a Brutality run, 4k damage on parry in Fog Fjord is nothing to scoff at if you ask me.

In general, I feel that skilling Survival is the least worthwhile, and as such you will rarely get a high damaging Parry. Getting a Legendary shield, and a spiked one at that allows you to boost your damage immensely.
Watching the Assassin kill himself on your shield is pretty funny.

By personal feelings legendaries somewhere between ++ and "S" upgrade rank. On high stats value, two additional stats will give you +30% damage and may not give you health at all. The legendary second screenshot Broadsword gives +400% damage, it is well worth it, even with 300% additional received damage. In general, I think the legendary items is quite capable in the specified range between ++ and "S" ranks(also colorless, available not even unlocked).

So I like legendaries as they are now. I do not think it's worth buff them, otherwise the whole game may turn into a legendary hunt only, without unlocks and upgrades.

But topic is not about legendary items value, but about the best seen in your opinion.

If it's intentional that there are no stats on those there is no reason to take a legendary ever then. If it has no stat points it's vastly inferior to general S item drops.

I don't know. I've gone through several legendaries at this point that I sold due to it not being the kind of weapon I wanted, but whenever I find a legendary version of one of my go to weapons, it's always felt more worth it to grab the legendary over the one that grants an ability scroll.

i would say none, because you dont get the benefit of added stats, if you are over statted they can be good, or like say you get a brutality weapon but because you maxxed tactics it could work, but most of the legendaries i get are most of the time just scrapped for gold, untill they add something significant

One shot one kill, used in the second half of the run. The first half of the run enjoyed with legendary shovel: +100% damage on burning targets and +100% damage deal/received. So I could not exchange them for other ++ and "S" weapons, because in sum they were worse.

Legendaries well fit into forge items upgrade. Initially, only items without upgrades are available and the legendaries actually rules. Because on the black forge guy items can be improved only once and + items can not compete with the legendaries.

With the advent of + items (upgrade them to ++) legendaries still rules. One stat point may be worse than the possible benefits of legendaries. Legendaries have more/better affixes, which can make item stronger than the usual ++ item.

Now let's compare legendaries with the "S" items. Number of affixes and damage of the same items level is equals(seemingly). The whole difference in the choice of two stats from "S" item or more rare affixes from legendary item.

As a result, legendaries compete well with ++ items, but only very good ones are able to overtake "S" items. And it's good, as I wrote earlier, if make them stronger, then the whole game will turn into a hunt for legendaries, ignoring the system for collecting/unlocking blueprints and upgrading items in the forge.

The problem is exponantial scaling. That 1 stat point can provide you with way more damage in the end than any affix on a legendary. Since more stat points you have the stronger that 1 point is. Sure they might be better for early runs where you don't have the S rank occurance bonus but if you max that out legendary items are only good if you don't have any stat boosting gear.

At this point, I'm generally not so concerned about finding a legendary primary weapon, but get super excited at Legendary shields and the occasional bow. I generally run a brutality build, so my primary weapon is always going to scale with my primary stat. Main problem I run into with that is my secondary weapon is usually next to worthless. Legendary backups solve that problem right nice.

Update released from alpha/beta and I met another great legendary weapon. Fire blast with almost instant enemy kills, so powerfull. Little control(ice bow) for helps win a second against fast enemies/elites to kill them. But if there are problems with health, Fire blast is able to restore
full health with vampirism skill because of the high attack speed(also additional 35% heal affix).
