I've felt stuck. is there anything i'm doing wrong?
hopefully i can describe this well but, i've been trying to beat the throne room boss for a while. i've basically seen everything so far that i can access normally without the Homunculus Rune, but i keep trying and dying and it feels like im going nowhere. I've had two boss cells on this entire time trying to beat the throne room boss but i just cant do it. everytime i make it there i always die. is there something im doing wrong? i also have all the dlc, by the way

edit: idk if i can or if its possible to reply but thank you guys for the tips!! i appreciate it and ill try using them next time i try again!

It's impossible to say if you're doing anything wrong. You already got to 2 boss cells so you obviously know how to play. Try going to Fractured Shrines each run because you'll get a guaranteed legendary from a pool of 3 items which is the equivalent of doing 3 hitless boss fights.

I'm a new player and I got stuck at 2bc as well. I looked up some strong build combinations and farmed items and then tested what worked for me and blitzed right through to 5bc pretty easily. Once you have a playstyle you can use custom mode to limit all the items you've unlocked down to 20 to ensure you'll be able to make your build in the run. Achievements will still be enabled :)

You're most likely panicking and not knowing what to do at HotK. I've also been there.

Try practicing Hand of the King through the boss rush gate. Really, learn what to expect from his moves. I used to struggle against him a lot, too.
It takes time to get used to the timing and predicting his moves from the cues the game gives you, at first. I used to die to him everytime at first. It took me 13.5 hours to finally beat him for the first time at BSC 0. It was around BSC 3 (around 75 hours) where all of his attacks finally clicked in my brain and since then he's been very easy to deal with.

A few tips:
1. The fight ALWAYS starts with him swinging his sword once towards you, so just dodge-roll behind him and bash into him until his first attack ends.

2. When you see him flying high up in the air (the section where he'll spawn a bunch of enemies on the stage), this is probably the best time to heal.

3. I'd recommend the Armadillopack mutation (if you have it) with any shield in your backpack slot and Combo mutation. The Armadillopack really helps with dealing with his attack where he drops a bunch of bombs around (You can dodge-roll into them and launch them at him).

4. (not the fight-related, but still) Fully upgrade the item forge (the % of rarity + / ++ / S found) that's available to you.

I've recently completed my first BSC 4 run and to be honest, without those two mutations, I'd be screwed.

Once you get comfortable with him, he's without a doubt the easiest Tier 3 boss.

Consider using assist mode or practising the fight in the training room.
