Return to Castlevania worth it?

Hi. I plan to pick up some dlc's for this game. I played through the main game on another device and platform.
My question is:
Is "Return to Castlevania" worth it?
It doubles the price of my purchase.
The other dlc's are much cheaper, and I have heard Return to Castlevania is not really that good, but of course there are different opinions, so I would like to hear what you think. :)

Wait for a bundle sale. I got ALL the DLC's for the same cost as the base game, so the Castlevania addition alone should be a quarter of the base game if you buy at the right time.

It feels like a different game, enemies and visuals are, I don't know, blocky, I guess? It's not necessarily bad or worse than the others, but the new weapons really feel weirder.

it's pretty meh. they layered on some new mechanics that feel out of place even if they are a homage to the source. the save room shouldn't allow interaction with assists off to prevent confusion. there are also multiple bosses per-biome which don't really jive with the flow of other biomes.

overall it's a little too overt and out of place, but konami got paid!

never buy any DLC full price, that's just silly.

4/4 on the DLCs, and RtC is by far the most unique one (in a good way imo), its not my favourite of the 4 (havent done the 2nd 1/2 of it sorta yet), but its not my least fav either (tho i like all the DLCs), i agree it feels a little outta place, but i think that just made for a more unique experience if i want a different feeling to my run

TLDR: its really unique, and imo is one of the better DLCs (all of the DLCs are good tho)
