Do you remember 2022's end roadmap for 2023???? Do you remember how it's said "The most exciting year in Dead Cell's history"???? Do you remember how we get Castlevania DLC with half of mobs being resprites of old designs???? I surely do remember, and as a matter of fact, we're still waiting not only for update almost 4 months in the testing (for whatever reason, i guess it's because of preps for Windblown's announcement), but even for a glimpse of it's release window???? Will this update even come out this year???? What was SO EXCITING ABOUT THIS YEAR EVIL EMPIRE CAN YOU TELL ME???? I was supposed to be excited about Castlevania DLC, which was about CASTLEVANIA and not about DEAD CELLS???? Like really, man, this year was lowkey the W O R S T for Dead Cells imo, and i really love this game, don't get me wrong. I just really pissed and upset about how little did we get this year. And it gets even sadder, when you think about how good this game's story and narration get with Queen and the Sea, only to get completely obliterated with unneeded collabs. What a shame.... :/

fun fact they ment for the franchise they are making a tv series thats airing in 2024 they have collaborated to make a board game aswell along with other merch aswell as a castelvania dlc those stuff arent cheap

They only said 2023 would be the most exciting year yet them announcing board games and a tv series this year did get many excited thats the point they never really said why it would be the most exciting year

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that a game that defines much of itself based on OTHER games, doesn't have enough merit to stand on its own. I don't care about the crossover stuff, I want to know more about the game itself.

trueeeeeeeeeeeee. I'm glad they could pull this Castlevania crossover, it was really big deal, but still, original content would be much more appreciated

i indeed stopped playing it in may this year, but when i saw this new update, i was waiting for it to release, to install game again, then 2 months passed, then 3, now it's almost 4 and we still didn't get any info about it's state so i started to wonder, what was they're doing all this year for it to be "the most exciting"

I know there are things like heads (besides default and Bobby head) that are in the beta branch, then there's cursed biomes with new enemies, powers, mutations and weapon(s). Wonder when that is coming.

I just started last night because of the Winter sale and I can't believe I didn't get into this game sooner. They have a DRM free version available, it's filled to the brim with content for a platforming roguelite and it's extremely fun to play. There seems to be a great amount of variance between runs, which is awesome. The soundtrack is also killer.

Speaking as a newbie who hasn't followed this game's development cycle, I cannot overstate how impressed I am with Dead Cells. Maybe you're just burned out, which is fine, but this game is by no means dead.

yeah, i guess you're right here, maybe i get lil too spicy here about a game. I still love it to this day and wish all the devs and this IP the best, just little afraid for it's future and maybe too spoiled with all the good things i get from this indie gem so i started to take it as given. It really warms my heart when i see new players coming to this game and wish you much luck on your runs, i guess i'm just little jealous of you, not being able to expierience all this good stuff for the first time. I'll pin your comment as problem solving and want to thank you again for your comforting reply and not being just some rude guy like some others out here
