I'd bet the final update will come around sometime, as the game has had wayyyyyy more updates than i ever thought it would, and I've played a bit since early access. I didnt expect multiple huge dlcs and free updates. Theyve really put some blood, sweat and tears in it along with heart/soul, but all things come to an end eventually.

I hope so. IT's about time they stop bloating the game and focus on a new one. They are a talented bunch, but this game is already too bloated, imo.

I mean the game is huge, but I honestly hope they keep working on it. I like when developers actually keep working on a single game rather than stopping development or making too many sequels/unnecessary dlcs (I'm talking to you Paradox). After all, that's how legendary titles like Minecraft and Terraria were made. Even though there are a ton of biomes and stuff counting the dlcs, I still feel the game is kinda bland. One thing I'd appreciate is if biomes had modifiers, imagine Promenade with the purple haze and malaised rock of the Corrupted Prison, for example.

Couldn't disagree more. What about the content feels "bloated" to you? All the gear, biomes, enemy varieties, skins, etc are refreshingly unique and give the game endless replay value.

I mean, I'm content with the extremely generous amount of content we've gotten over the years and would be totally down for a new game. But "bloated" is the last descriptor I'd use.

How many people newly learn of this game every day? According to xkcd it's 10,000+ I say keep pumping the dlc and I'll keep buying it, and hopefully more and more people will get to enjoy it!
