Mama Tick isnt unfair. You can parry any of her attacks and she telegraphs them enough. Easier than Conjunctivius IMO.
The levels are huge and pretty challenging, the weapons, overall, are very good. Fans are fine, scythe is pretty great if you can get it down. And the blowgun and bouzouki are kind of ridiculous.
So far, the DLC's been pretty good.
Sure, I still call hax when the enemies trick me and smack me down. But the DLC areas are still super new, and it's really only my fault that I'm trash at it.
Personally, I think that the time in which Bad Seed has come out has a large influence on how people might perceive it.
Imagine if you swapped the version numbers for Rise of the Giant and Bad Seed, and had this paid DLC release in March of last year. Back then, it probably would've seemed more significant, because the game had comparatively less content. Mama Tick would've been the 4th boss in the game, and it would've been the first time since The King's Hand update (a little over a year prior) that we saw brand new enemies and two new areas. On top of that, you'd later seen a massive free DLC come out in its wake, with Rise of the Giant hypothetically being the hot topic of this week, and people would've been blown away by the thought that that $5 produced what it had.
And that's what could very well happen in reality, too.
Also, on that: why are the non-boss skins unlocked automatically? Shouldn't they be blueprint drops from the new enemies or hidden in a secret location, like every other skin in the game?
