PS4/5 Button prompts?

Am I missing the option in the menus?
I prefer the PS5 controller and use that on my PC, but I still get Xbox prompts.
Someone mentioned on reddit to disable Playstation support in Steam and that would get the buttons to show up, but that just makes the controller stop working.

To get Dual Shock button prompts, you need to right click Dead Cells in the Steam client, and select Manage. From there, select Controller and use the large pulldown menu to select Disable Steam Input. This will give you both a working controller and the correct button prompts. A lot of games that use either SDL or FNA for controller functionality require this step to get proper button prompts.

Same here... can't play the game. If I activate steam input, I have double inputs sometimes.

Edit; I used general settings and it works now. But I have xbox prompts..

Literally just add the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ option in the games settings to pick the button prompts that you want. Done. No fuss with detecting the controller at all.

Every single game on Steam has this same problem. I am so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tired of every game I want to play showing me the wrong button prompts, and every single discussion board having dozens of the same thread full of people (correctly) complaining about it & dozens of people (incorrectly) stating that Steam can detect wireless PS controllers just fine, when they can't, & never have.

Was hoping there might be a mod or something to force-correct the problem, but no. Understandably, since Steam ALMOST supports PS controllers natively, so it's not really worth the effort. I wish devs would include the option to just choose the prompts you want to see, but since Steam ALMOST supports different controllers, I can understand why it's not a priority. They've only had a near-monopoly on PC games distribution for like 25 years, so I guess it's to be expected that they haven't quite found the time & resources to recognise wireless controllers properly.

Only the DS4 works with the steam input disabled.
For some reason the DS5/Dualsense doesn't work properly with Dead Cells
Get DS4Windows and make it look like a PS4 controller

Yes id did happen, but i cant tell you were, havent played in a long time
