The Starfury is Terrible

This weapon does so little damage and is almost always something I completely ignore because 99% of all the weapons are just flat out better.

I haven't played a full run with it, but from what I've seen, it's definitely nothing impressive. It just doesn't feel like it has the level of offense you should receive for basically giving up your second primary weapon slot (because that pistol is basically just for marks).

I really prefer running a shield in all of my builds (even the ranged ones. I put hokuto's in backpack and take the tactics backpack mutation), so something would have to be incredibly powerful for me to give that up.

I think you have the wrong weapon in mind, I'm talking about the Terraria reference one. You are thinking of the Hard Light Sword which is actually really decent and fun especially for tactics.

I actually thought it was pretty good, though I think it can feel kind of weak because of how long it takes for the stars to actually fall. I think if they were sped up quite a bit it would feel a lot stronger even if the damage was unchanged, since there's essentially a delay before you actually start doing the full DPS that it's capable of.
