All Progress Gone
Just downloaded this game recently after playing at a friends house. Grinded out for the ram, spider, and teleport runes, as well as others along the way, and sunk a good number of hours in in the past few days. I get on today for a couple mindless runs to pass time and all of my progress from my save file is gone. It's as if it was my first ever run. Any chance I can find my old save file and recover my progress?

There should be backups in the local saves folder (location is easily source on google)? Sometimes enabling cloud saves can delete or overwrite local data? Hopefully you can restore from a backup zip though, as the game does keep them now?

I lost all my stuff too. I was on 4BC with most blueprints unlocked and now I'm having to start over. Even the cloud saves are busted.

According to people who had this issue before, there should be Backups in the game files somewhere.

You could also try looking at your cloud files here https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage

So, I ended up locating the backups in under Steam>Steamapps>Common>Dead Cells>Save. It's kept in a nice zip file that's even dated. I didn't see these before, but now all my progress has been restored and it's about continuing where I left off now.

Props to devs who actually implement such a super convinient feature.

It's usually located in the local saves directory, disk/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Dead Cells/save
They should be in zip files marked "backup date#" and so on?

Just checked, found a good file, and retrieved my progress. Got to start making backups now though lol. Thanks so much.
