It's also a key element for some builds and "on-hit" stuff.
Edit: forgot to mention it has amazing affixes too.
Use it and then attack within the limited number of frames to recover X amount of health (up to 30%?)
I think you'd need a group to be on the other side of a door, activate Face Flask, break door stunning enemies, and hopefully kill them before the effect dissipates. Or smash down on them.
But not all levels have doors, or there is a type of enemy that senses you and attacks you remotely.
Would it work while, say, a turret was active? Or if I threw a bomb? This is for melee only kills, right?
I'd be interested in what the number of enemies would need to be to get that much more health back. Like,
Use FF: -5 lost, kill 1 enemy = __% health regained.
Use FF: -5 lost, kill 5 enemies = __% health regained.
Use FF: -5 lost, kill 10 enemies = __% health regained.
At any rate, these questions seem to be baiting a 'Well, why don't you try it and see?' answer. It does at least have me thinking. Obviously, there's work and risk involved after using it. I guess I don't quite understand what the optimal situation would be FOR using it. Or I'm mistaken in thinking you have to be super fast after using it.
If you don't know how recovery works check the wiki they prob have a section for tons of mechanics in this game.
It does literally 5 damage, not 5%.
Edit: it's just a recovery item, as i said above if you're not familiar with how it works the wiki might have some stuff. It's basically just an orange bar on your health, and while that's active (decreases over time, can triple(?) duration with a mutation) dealing damage heals you back up.
