For anyone doing the cused sword run achivo
Do not, I repeat DO NOT go through the fog fjord. I tried it multiple times and boy does that area not work for a crused sword run. There are so many small enemies that will just teleport on you and kill you. And let's not even talk about the wonky hitboxes on pirate cannonballs.
As for few other tips:
1: Go tactics. Since cursed sword is dual scaling tactics will provide damage for your sword and your skills.
2: Break the gold doors and open cursed chests. This should be a really obvious one but I personally never break gold doors to the point I forgot I can even do that. I only realized that on my third cursed sword attempt that I'm being stupid for paying the doors when I can just whack them. Also don't buttstomp to go faster. Took me a while to not do that as well. You'd think I'd learn from spiking myself on the first set to not do it again XD
3: If you can cheese it do it. If there is a weapon spawn near the start of the level drop your cursed sword and use that to clear out the level and then just pick the cursed sword back up once you find the exit and scrolls. You just need to bring a cursed sword to the end of the run. You don't need to hold it all the time.
4: Tonics are the best way to cheese bosses. If you can get two of those in your skill slots and use the invincibilty frames to your advantage you should be able to do it quite easily. If you got a higher rank cursed sword from a shop or drop this will also let you dps race the boss. I lost twice doing that against the assasin but on final run I managed to get a cursed sword in the clock tower shop which made the dps race super viable.

Major tip, use Merchandise and the Dice passives in order to get the Cursed Sword on the last level prior to the boss, and pick it up right as you enter the boss fight, the easiest way so far to kill the Assassin looks like to be Parrying.

Nah tonics are by far the easiest way. You don't have to do anything besides mash attack really fast to be able to do it that way. And you need to get lucky to roll a cursed sword in a shop. And that's even if it spawns as a weapon shop XD

You don't need to be lucky, you get the weapon you want almost 100% of the time in a weapon shop within 5 dice rolls. So in the end all you need to do is get the cursed sword on either the 2nd last or last level. The game has 24 melee weapons besides the starting sword, and you will see 18 of those with the dice, even if you have all 24 unlocked it's still a good chance.

Hahahahaha. You obviously don't know how bad my RNG rolls. You are talking to someone who got 0 normal scroll spawns in promenade and ramparts once XD
As for my winning run that I finally managed to get it all last 3 shops were skill shops.

That's not possible, there are actually a precise amount of scrolls that will spawn after the update in each biome. The number also includes scrolls in hidden walls and cursed chests, they will replace natural scrolls, but the number of scrolls is still fixed.

I've edited the comment above with further detail on the shop chances. Also there is no such thing as "my bad RNG rolls" everyone has the same chance, you can't say your next rolls will be good nor bad based on your previous RNG.

Yes. But if they spawn in secret tiles they'll not show up in overworld since they take away from the max scrolls for each biome. So if you suck at finding secret tiles like me that's basiclly 0 scroll spawns. And cursed chests don't count towards max scrolls for biome. They are a extra scroll spawns.
As for shop rolls I had multiple weapon shop rolls that would never make a cursed sword appear at all. That's how RNG works. Someone will get it on their first try, someone will never roll it. Can't tell you how long has it been since I saw assassin dagger spawn at all.

Cursed Chests are mostly fixed in most biomes now, for example Old Sewers, Stumbling Sanctuary, Clock Tower and Graveyard will always have one for sure, but I did see some random extra cursed chest take away a scroll in biomes. Overworld always has a power scroll or more depending on biome, unless you don't count it as a natural, but hidden walls would still have a scroll on that Promenade/Rampart run you've spoken about so in the end you would still be able to find those, you're not getting any less scrolls just because they're hidden.

It's not hard to pay attention to walls, the secret tiles are next to walkable tiles, you just have to move around while paying attention for glowing tiles on the walls, it's not going to be somewhere where you have to jump, only where you can stand to hit it. I myself don't like that the hidden scrolls take away the max scroll count though.

I think you fail to see my point there. If all scrolls are hidden and you don't see any that means there are 0 normal scroll spawns. And if you can't find them that means you got 0 scrolls. That's kind of RNG we have talking here.

"you don't see any" well if you don't check the whole map for the "natural occuring scrolls" then you won't find them all either would you. You can't find them but you have the option to check for them and have them, it's not that they're gone without a way of obtaining them you know.

I checked the whole map and didn't see any in the open. I always check the whole map.
