Clock Tower key missing?

I can't find anywhere the key that unlocks the door which has a blueprint inside. Any suggestion, help? Thanks.

I had just now that same issue: the Watchmaker Key, yes? I defeated the Elite Monster as well, hoping he would release it, but no.

I was wondering if I should ask that question or if someone will write it down, I decided to check the whole Clock Tower to the best of my ability and I couldn't find anything, hit every Bell, checked every wall, nothing so far, same problem.

Or maybe it's just one teaser for what it's still to come, like the prisioner's rune, or the big wooden door in the beginning of the game?

I don't think that's the case since people actually acquired the Punishment shield in the beta because it used to drop from Shield Bearers, now it's in the Clock Tower. I think there is a way though if the beta players have it, then it's useable, unless there's a bug with the Clocktower key.

I think it's a bug, it seems that the key doesn't spawn at all.

It indeed could be but I wonder if the key isn't in another biome, which would mean you have to carry it until the Clock Tower.

Oh, maybe. They should scatter a key in each biome that unlocks a door to a new biome! Make the bonus biome full of secrets, full of blueprints, full of locked doors, full of elites and at the last locked door a powerful boss! They should call it the Crypt of the Damned!

I think not, currently I can pretty much beat every biome before the Clock Tower (usually go for Prison > Path of the Condemned > Prison Depths > Ossuary > Incomplete One > Fog Fjord), and I always search for everything, Scrools, Chests, Vendors, so on. Never saw anything like a key that doesn't belong in that same level :)

Well, i was thinking maybe its behind the timed door in the fjord, but i dont like doing speedruns so i never checked. Keys do seem to carry over from one level to the other, so either it's VERY well hidden in the clocktower or it's hidden in one of the previous levels, with the clocktower being about time and all, perhaps behind a timed door?

Though i already checked the breakable floor at the beginning of the clocktower and tried ringing every bell, but no luck there... I even went to the fjord and took the first key, skipped over the barrier via the secret area on top, and took the village key to the clocktower but nope...

Would be kinda cheap/impossible though, having to do a frustrating speedrun like that just to get the blueprint (and then get murderized because of subpar items/stats against what might very well be the strongest types enemies in the game). So, hopefully its not THAT...

I did check the Fog Fjord timed door today (only had 1 scroll of Brutality for me and money then souls as usual) because I was looking for the Counter Shield, turns out I found the Counter Shield in a different secret area in the Fog Fjords though but no key.

I've spent 30 mins on Clock Tower checking every corner/wall looking for breakable ground with Belier's Rune, looking for places I can climb and roll into, nothing though, I memorized the whole layout I had and truely have checked every wall. First time through I didn't pick up the Cursed Chest in the Clock Tower and the shield is called Punishment so I thought maybe there's some chance it'd have it but after opening the chest it was just the usual colorless item, gold and power scroll.

Most of the runs I did were through Slumbering Sanctuary -> Clock Tower but I haven't found any secret there, though I didn't look for one so maybe there's a chance, though I wouldn't bet on it.

The key is definitely in the Clock Tower, I've picked it up there quite recently.

There are a number of bells scattered throught the area that you can ring, maybe the key spawning is related to ringing them?

I'll see what you can do with the bells fully throughout then, also after seeing someone on youtube who had the shield from beta (where Shield Bearers were dropping it) the person now had an Amethyst behind the door, so it's just like the already found secret areas in most of the maps, meaning the key really should be in the Clock Tower as it should be a secret area you can easily access when you know how to, since it will only have some gold reward afterwards.

It might be in a wall rune like the new key in the Graveyard, just a guess though

It's not. It's on a pedestal behind a blue door. When I got it, there wasn't a gold plate for the door, but it opened automatically as I got close.
