Rise of The Giant DLC not installing

Hi, I had the game by family share and when found that I couldnt play that DLC through that, so I bought the game (a few hours ago).

If I log in the mentioned acount that had the game,the DLC is installed and works fine.

The problem is that now when I am on my account (with game and the other DLCs installed and working) everytime I click on the download button, the game just opens and doesn't install anything. Is there anything I could do?

After 24 hours without touching the PC, when I went again to the shop and clicked on the download button for the free DLC it worked and now it appears everywhere. I did nothing and nothing changed so I have no clue about how it works. Thanks for the responses

But does it work? All the content is shipped with the base game, so adding the DLC to your account will never download anything. It just checks whether the DLC is on the account or not, kind of like an entitlement. I only got the DLC when the broken door stopped me and told me to and I didn't even need to close the game for it to work.
Look on your library page for Dead Cells - on the right, below the achievements and trading cards you should be able to manage your DLC. Is Rise of the Giant in there? Is it enabled (check mark)?

right click the game in your library and go to properties, there should be a DLC section showing wether its installed or not. if it's unchecked, check it

It doesn't appear there, it only shows the 2 paid DLCs like if the free one didnt exist.
