So explain why? I forget isnt the forge only accessible after like the fourth area or something like that? Ngl I am having a lot of trouble even getting there lol
Getting there is not too hard, go Arboretum (lots of cells there) -> Prison Depths (you can skip the curse) -> Ossuary and beat Concierge, he's easiest boss in the game. If you still have trouble beating him go to 0BC and get sheety build like 5-5-5, so you won't deal damage to him and try to kill him this way so that you can learn his patterns and behavior more.
I suggest using traps on him:

So why all the hassle? 100% of the items in your game will become ++ items and 25% of them - S, which is a max quality. It will power up your runs SIGNIFICANTLY, trust me.
So TL;DR: INVEST IN THE FORGE!
Really glad for the reply this was super helpful!
The rest depends on how used you are to each biome. For example, I usually don't feel comfortable in Slumbering sanctuary but I do a lot better in Forgotten Sepulcher than in Clock Tower. If you want to beat 2BC go wherever you feel the best. If you're not used to the darkness or poison your best bet is the classic
Quarters->Promenade->Depths->Ossuary->Village->Tower->Castle.
