In other areas enemies aren't that fast, so you can use it, but levels with enemies that have higher amounts of health (Prison Depths) or are just moving too fast and are too many (Sepulchre) will wreck you.
Because it's low range, but mostly because you have to be sitting in one place for it to do it's damage. Also any fliers will make it a nightmare as the Fire torrent is shooting only horizontally. Most of the time they will attack you from weird angles and good luck hitting and dodging them and other enemies when they mix together, if that is your only weapon.
I went through Ossuary and Prison Depths with a lvl 1 fire torrent, lmao opinions are overrated right. Never had any problems.
And your other weapon was what? :)
One of its biggest strengths is that you can fall down from above an enemy while firing it, so there is no wind up time to casting it, and you often start dealing damage before the enemy agros.
Don't worry, I think that the majority of us are pretty biased against it being that good. It's nowhere near as the Rapier pre-nerf in terms of people going over their head to prove it's so good they want such a nerf that would stop their addiction to it. :)
But a spell that straight up immobilizes you while it's in use? It better be damn good.
Pretty much. If it's damage gets lowered, well more people than just me would choose to not bother with it's unlocking.
I will say that the drop-down from air to negate startup frames is pretty common. It makes the lightning usable (well, mostly), turns the heavy crossbow into an instant one-shot shotgun, gives the broadsword a great advantage, etc etc. You'll have fun experimenting with that drop-down startup :D
Oh. Ohhh. Yes much garbo. ;)
I'd love to be able to complain about those but I still have to find one of those that is not the post watcher created by blueprint drop XD
