After you've made the tour of the content and mastered it, going the long way feels a bit boring.
Going Ossuary > Prison Depths > Bridge gave much better gear than anything else at the cost of being harder for the first level (I don't count Cells as a level).
Not true - at least not after the recent patches. A run through Toxic Sewer/Ossuary gives you the same amount as Promenade/Toxic Sewer/Ossuary. After several runs through the different paths my average is like 10 Strength when fighting the Watcher.
At first I thought that the easy and longest path Promenade/Sewer/Ossuary/Sepulchre/Graveyard will give the most scrolls, but it appears they just get spread among all of the levels and if you choose another path you will get the same or very close to the same amount, but with 1 or 2 more per that area.
I only noticed significantly less scrolls when I went on the hardest path Ossuary/Sepulchre.
Basically if you want to flawless the Watcher never go the most scroll starved route which is also the shortest.
After a few more speed runs that were executed better I ended up with 10 Strength on the Watcher, again. The path was Ossuary and Sepulchre and when I got both Timed doors the stat distribution ended as in my average runs.
So if you are going Ossuary first, you better speed run for both timed doors or you might be weaker in the end.
However since I didn't have time for gold gathering and secrets in the end I was 30k gold minus, because of the items/scrolls that had to be bought and whatever gems were behind the timed doors couldn't compensate the difference.
So basically you can speed run it through the harder levels and get the same amount of power, but every run you will be actively losing gold and it will be a large enough sum to annoy you haha
So I can get way more cells just jumping into higher tiers? Because I haven't seen it so far. Speed running gives me 10 for succeeding at speeding, but I can get about 20-25 more by just slowly inching my way through any level and might find a scroll in the wall.
I thought speed running always had a blueprint, it doesn't, obviously to you guys. After the fourth attempt between me and my friend playing it when we pass controllers we said screw speed running and just went for the powerups and better leveled items.
