Raise the Timed door timers?
Now that the level choices are different, there is pretty much 0 chance to get the 3:30 Ossuary door if you dont take the direct path to it from the Prison Cells, which kinda sucks because it'd still be nice to have it as a possibility when using alternative paths.

Would making it something like 6:30 only when coming from the Toxic Sewers a possibility? It'd be much more doable while still not being a whole lot of time (the sewers take time usually, especially since now you can do the Promenade first, too)

Oh... if areas can be at different places in the sequence, I suppose it does make sense for their Timed Doors to have variable requirements.

Good thinking.

Not to mention they've upped the difficulty for the ossuary.

they upped the difficulty way up. Like to a ridiculous degree. One slasher basically took me from 199 to like 50 in 2 hits which i could not avoid because the first hit stunned me. GG game...way to make it harder without making it unfair
Not to mention that I feel the slasher has more hp and some of the bleed and burn times and damage got nerfed. Feels like it anyway

I think it feels good like this. It's your choice if you want to go to the Toxic Sewers or if you want to directly go to the Ossuary door. This makes it a gameplay choice based on the player preferences and loot I guess.

true 3:10 for the ossuary door is terrible design not only cause people might go other ways but it means you basicly gotta just run through the first stage entirely while also dodging enemies as the teleporters and bats build in number to find the door in time.

Add in the door in the ramparts is only 8 mins only way to reach it is basicly full blind rush which makes passing that section rather difficult as you have less gear/points.

The darkness update patch notes said there was additional treasure added to the ossuary one. Anyone get it since then to see what you get now there?

Sounds like somebody didnt go sewers > ossuary and skipped directly to ossuary which is now a tier 3 map. You were stat starved from skipping a map, so thats why everything seemed harder.

@wckowalski a shield and weapon if i remember right along with like 4,000 gold.

@frosthaven wait ossuary is the the 3rd map O.O
I'v always dodged the sewers map gone straight to ossuary furthest i'v gotten so far is broken bridge got the boss to 20% then died.

Apart from the fact if you're trying to get the timed door you basically have to go straight to the ossuary and that timed door was bad enough before they ramped the difficulty up due to the sheer size of the area.

The ossuary door needs to be upped to some like 5 minutes.

The darkness update (you have to opt into the beta), changed the level progression and what exits are found in some of the areas.

I could see through the map a Health Scroll, a Skill Scroll and surely more.

This thread is stupid. The reason why the timed door exists (and it always spawns right next to the entrance to the area) is so that people who actually take the shortcut from the prison cells get rewarded. It spawn the usual benefits of timed doors +2 stat scrolls, which are basically a "make up" for missing out on 2 levels (ramparts/toxic sewers).

In that case, might as well remove the timed door completly if you do not take the shortcut from Cells to Ossuary, because you will - never - make it in 3:30 minutes, it would make much more sense to make the timer longer, and the rewards less valuable than the ones you'd get from the 3:30 door, if that's how it's intended.

Even if you go as fast as possible, you can't guarantee the timed door there, as you may take the wrong path branches first.

I think your premise is flawed. Timed Doors exist so you can choose to either speedrun through the game or clear everything completely.

It's good that there is compensation for going straight into the Ossuary (especially if you go through fewer areas by doing so), but if you speedrun through the Toxic Sewers and into the Ossuary, why shouldn't you receive any reward at all for the Ossuary?

Going to the Ossuary later should probably result in the Timed Door requirement being much less severe, even if that means the compensation for going to the Ossuary first should be removed.

No reason to go there if it just adds to your time and doesn't yield any rewards.
