What about an option to *veto* 10 or so items from the spawn pool?
I understand that the *luck of the draw* is a part of the attraction of this game, but i dont think i am alone in thinking that the game lgets more time consuming and frustrating with the more items you unlock, and I feel like it gets to a point where you just wish you could restart your entire save and you've almost ruined your save file just for wanting to try out weapons.

What about an option to select 10 weapons to remove from your spawn pool, which you could alter at the start of the run, sort of just a menu with all your unlocked items listed and a checkbox next to each one? or something similar? I dont want the randomness removed, but some way to narrow down what you want would be really nice. Playing custom mode feels like cheating.

One other thing.. the big blue drill arm enemies are super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.. they need a shared cooldown timer on their leaping attack ability and their *instant slide behind you* ability.. it gets really old, really fast.

On what BC are you playing? I consider them one of the easier of the new enemies. Also, why don't you start a custom run and simply select those 10 items you might want to choose from in the game?

I mean ... you have Custom runs, you can veto all you want, and it still counts as legitimate run (as in you get achievements and keep your progress). You can pretty much veto every tactic and survival item and go full brutality for example. It's up to you what you want to veto, there are no repercussions.

So if i do a custom run to unlock the 5th boss cell, i keep that boss cell in my normal mode?

Well I never tried to unlock a boss cell (because I had 4 before custom runs were a thing), but I'm pretty sure you keep it. I run custom runs all the time with around 50% of the arsenal veto'ed. For sure you keep all cells spent, all unlocks etc etc so there's no reason why you wouldn't keep a boss source cell. When adjusting custom run just avoid changing those stats with a lock on them, they definietely prevent you from getting achievements at the very least.

Maybe someone else can confirm?

Exactly, don't use the locked stats and you get all achievements. Collect BCs in custom mode and you have them later in the regular game as well.

I don't have a 5th cell yet, but got 4th in custom mode recently and yes, was able to run with 4 cells active in normal mode today. But still, not sure about stats with a lock, I've just blocked some items

Confirmed you can unlock 5BC in Custom Mode, just kill the Giant once and you're golden.

Yes , it's just only disable your achievements but not your progression.

I think there should be an option to prevent the cursed sword from appearing, it's really frustrating opening a chest only to find that piece of junk. Also if you get it as a starter weapon you might as well restart.
