In my last run (4-BC), it was 32000 gold.
I was in the Clock Tower on 3BC and well on my way to finishing the run. Put an end to those aspirations.
My reaction, however, was to laugh hysterically, not make demands of the devs. I love this game for being so savage, personally. It's what separates it from just another whatever game I'll forget about in a week.
And If you don't like it, change it; that's what the mod tools and documentation are there for.
Or git gud.
I laugh at my mistakes too.
I just don't laugh at how I can't trust the 'R' prompt to be 100.00% a good thing now. It's like the devs thought "Hey, you know that thing expert players reflexively do in the middle of combat, loot stuff? You know how the stuff they pick up is in their periphery, because they're watching the floor for Challenge Rifts and watching Zombies when they leap? Yeah, let's give them something unfun to pay attention to."
That's the message I'm getting from these Cursed Artifacts.
Still bitter about picking one up after killing a Masker in the Prison Depths (so get this: I didn't even see it, just the prompt fading in before my in-the-zone brain pressed 'R' without reading. Because what commercially-successful and modern dev booby-traps loot that dangerously without a confirmation window?) And then fighting an Elite whose free-hitting laser beams caught me after dodging him - and it - for 20 brave seconds straight.
Why not to make demant about food with mailaise as well? I want all te items to be malaise free, and free potion refill every biome. And free upgrade to S-level gear.
Stop making games harder Motion Twin it isn't funny, you think people play Dead Cells to test yourself? Game should play automatically, why you need to control your character andchoose what you do, when and how? Please change it :/
But seriosuly,...
You're pissed at yourself, and blaming devs for it. Seriously? You just messed up, because of such a silly thing... just clench your ass and carry on. You have hundred worse things in-game than such a minor cursed pickup. This is literally maybe a 15 minutes lost. Rushing to PD will take you just a few. No big deal.
It's like blaming devs for parrying attack and getting hit because I messed up with timings, doesn't make any sense, right?... 99% of time game is really fair, and I can blame no one, just myself. And I do, And I know that next time, I won't make the same mistake again, this is a progress, an essence of this genre in general, isn't it? And it feels good.
I don't get it, you mad at devs because you were used to picking items without looking and thinking first. It's same thing to starting a run, and there is some enemy in random place in the level. Or not timing your parry right and getting hit, or loosing streak kill....
I don't know, but playing Dead Cells you have the feeling that anything can happen and you have to deal with it, all the time. This is what it makes this games fun and not boring.
