2. But there is a way around it actually - you need to find Merchandise Category upgrade. It's one of the best upgrades in the game and gives you a lot of control over RNG. Read up about it on the bottom of this page: https://deadcells.gamepedia.com/The_Collector
3. When you get a drop of a blueprint you have to finish this zone/biome and talk to the Collector - he will save that blueprint and you'll be able to unlock that blueprint once you spend enough cells on it. If you die before you talk to The Collector that blueprint is lost. Be sure to TALK to him, not just reach him, you need to literally hand it in or he won't remember your blueprint.
If you just want to have fun then unlock whatever ya can.
thanks this was very helpful - I looked up that category....how do I unlock it? it's the only one I don't have listed on the Collector. Do I need to just complete another Collector category?
and it's entirely possible I've lost a bunch of blueprints not speaking to the collector on the levels where you the other upgrade NPC is there :\ oh well heh
(unless custom game doesn't give you achievement/boss cell but that would be dumb A-F)
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is good news.
This, basically. It's fun to try out new weapons and skills, but some of the unlocks are... not great. You could always have one save for all items unlocked, and one for your favored ones. Or, perhaps, that new update will make things better. We'll see.
well i've gotten shoes like 5 games in a row and it's driving me crazy lol
I feel ya there. -_-
Though I've seen some people use Sparta Sandals pretty well, it's really, really not a primary weapon. If I see em, I'll go back and grab the starter sword from the wall.
You need to find the blueprint for it. It's a bit of a chore to get. You go to the Graveyard and on the surface on the right end of the map there are door that require Architect Key. Behind the door there are 2 blueprints, one is a mutation and one is Merchandise Categories. You get those by finding Architect's Key that is located randomly somewhere in Graveyard's walls (below the surface usually). You know, like some gems and food is hidden inside the walls - it's the same here.
If needed just go to youtube and search for a video on how to get Merchandise Categories or Architect's Key, I'm sure you'll manage.
And yes, go to Collector and talk to him to have it unlocked later :P
