Are there PS4 prompts?
I use a DS4 controller and it says it's getting recognized by Steam, but in-game there are XBOX prompts. I have both controllers so it's not really the biggest deal but I kind of rather use the PS4 controller.

Any ideas?

As far as I know, there isn't a way to swap them out.

Not really. This would work with official Sony controller dongle for DS, but not with Windows bluetooth connectivity, and using pad as a generic xinput device...

So there is PS4 prompts but I'm not seeing them because I'm using bluetooth instead of some "official playstation dongle"? That's hilarious. :steamfacepalm:

I had this exact same issue several days ago. I managed to fix it by going into Big Picture Mode, then going into Controller Settings and turning off PlayStation Configuration Support. I'm aware that this sounds pretty ass backwards but you should definitely give it a shot to see if it works.

I tried that and then my PS4 controlled wouldn't connect. Do I just connect it via bluetooth settings instead of Steam then?

Try wired mode using microUSB cable. Windows should detect it straight away. And sometimes it makes some difference for the Steam, as I remember launching DC for the first time, in the GOG client, not Steam, and DS4 was detected properly...

But honestly, I was ttrying to fix it for really some time, editing config giles etc. No luck. Why there is no such option in the game settings, I cannot understand. Where for example Enter the Gungeon gives you simple option to choose layout for controller in the settings.

To see ps4 buttons you have to disable steam input in game properties in your library.

They should just put an option like any other game for DualShock 3/4, X1 and Nintendo Switch Pro, and you cycle them as you need. No one in their right mind would not emulate the X1 API Steam has. The auto-detect is stupid.

Good thing i bought an X1S controller recently and paired with a bluetooth. Got the official Sony Dongle too, but just for the headphone jacket.

Question, does the sound output on the controller shows any lag/delay? Or it's absolutely fine, same like using wired audio output?

It's fine, but the quality is low. No lag or delay at all. The only reason why they made it in the first place is because you sit far away from your television and you want to chat with your friends. You need a Sony Dongle for that. I don't know how the quality is on Xbox 1 S Controller because i don't have a dongle for it, only Bluetooth.

Honestly i wouldn't spend 20-30€ for a dongle when you can buy a 1€ BT connector. The microphone doesn't do anything since games must be programmed to be useful by them.
Gyroscope, touchpad and colors all work however via BT integrated through Steam apart from the 3.5mm jacket.

But if you use like Steam Link and want to chat with friends while also hearing the game audio, then yeah, it's worth it.
