On PS4 or PC?
Hi guys,

I'm not 100% sure on which platform I should buy it...

Do you play the game with controller or keyboard and mouse?

If I need to play it with controller, then should I buy it straight on PS4 or PC?

Thx for your input.

I do with K&M.
Which option will suit you better really depends on what you're used to more, all methods are good and adjustable further should you need to.
Yes, you can play with only keyboard.

PC leaves you with mouse cursor that dis-/reappers each time you enter a menu(unless you unplug it), but allows you to use mouse, keyboard and non-PS controllers.
PS$ doesn't have the cursor problem, but limits you to a Playstation gamepad.

I can't speak for performance(I don't own a PS4 and don't know your PC's specs) but both PS4 and your PC should run it vaseline-smooth.

I played the game on PC but there is a thing as controllers u can plug in to the PC, PS4'd be nice. but i'd just go with what the game recommends and what is available to you.

I saw there is also steam workshop... I would prefer on PS4 I guess, but when there is cool user content I don't want to miss it.
Get it on PC, with addition of beta/alpha updates you get the ability to use mods.

I play with a controller on PC. You can literally plug your PS4 controller into the PC using the USB charging cable and it will work. Steam has built in support for the dualshock4 controller, there are other programs such as DS4windows that will let you use the controller universally in windows as if it were a natively supported device.

Hey guys,

Thx for your feedback. I have bought it on PS4. No workshop.... but big TV and couch will do it ^^

You do realise you can easily put your Pc on your Tv with easy to set up software (or cable) and play from them , right ?

They might not have the pc in the same room.

This is one of the very rare cases where it's actually pure preferrence what system you get it on if you already own both.
I assume even a weak console can run DC smooth enough.
If you want your couch comfort, don't care about mods and/or can't connect your pc to your TV, i don't see an issue with it.
Ho yeah of course, but since the Op made a thread about it , it must be because he wanted to ask, so bringing the point of the couch just make me think about how you can just run in on your Tv with your Pc , especially since he points out that there is no workshop.

But yeah to each their own.
It's weird tho' that there is no Workshop , I mean we now how console that provide Tv so... I guess it's a Valve problem (not wanting to give any access to steam on console?).

Yes I was aware of that. But that's not an option. In the 99.9% of the cases I would buy games on PC. But it's nice to have also a wonderful game like this on PS4. If I really want the workshop, I buy it a second time^^

I play it with K&M, it's actually great. I don't know how it feels like with a controller, but parrying with right click is reeeeeaaaaaaally sweet :D

I don't think I'd be able to do controllers on Dead Cells. Partly because it's just so crucial to be able to press both jump bindings to quickly hop out of a poorly-timed roll.

steam link was just on sale for $2.99 I bought 2 of them I don't even know why . I ended up putting one on my basement TV just for laughs , thing works awsome , but you can downlaod the app and do it that way as well.. really no need for consoule if you own a PC . AMD is going to release software to stream games to your andriod tablet or smartfone . https://www.pcmag.com/news/365439/stream-pc-games-to-smartphones-with-amd-link-app
