its not exactly like a metroidvania, its really a rogue like
You can pause between levels and exit the game, then continue later.
Since the game is a Rogue-lite the whole point is that if you die you have to start over, but you get to keep some progress such as unlocks and upgrades.
relax.
its fun.
There are similarities, like perma-death, RNG heavy mechanics, randomized floor/ennemies, etc. But the gameplay is more like a Castlevania.
