The Giant is Hard?
Iv'e beaten the Hand of the King a few times now, and recently started playing again. I got to the the Giant only to have me ass kicked across the stage, with me doing pitiful damage to it's eye-weakpoint.

I commonly use the Electric Whip for my playthroughs (not the best weapon but the ability to attack above and bellow you helps) and the damage output on that may of been the proublem but still annoyed that I got less then half of it's health off before dying.

I recommend the lance from the hand of the king or the broadsword, and dual turrets, that should do him in.

Alchemic Carbine and Magic Missiles with 100 % damage to poisoned
(Magic Missiles also targets like Electric Whip)

It is hard because the caverns and giant are overtuned a bit. That's nothing new, new biomes were usually like that after release even in early access to just add a challenge to new content. They'll probably nerf him next patch. Probably.

As said get the magic missiles. You can also take denial wave which will cancel his projectile attacks (those from the hand and crystals from the ceiling) if those are a problem to you.

Learn the pattern! There's some videos on YT showing the attack phases he uses. I managed to do him in with Magic Missile + Pyrotechnics + 2 turrets. I'm currently stuck at the fnal boss on 5 BCs cause I keep having trouble evading his 'fire waves', dodge-rolling only helps so far...

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll be honest I just expected two comments; one telling me how easy the giant is and the other just saying "git gud", so color me surprised. I'll be sure to check out your suggestions

the giant is a nightmare on 2 BC I managed to get his pattern down but once he enters his second phase where those purple crystals fall down it gets pretty brutal, one wrong step and its over... I would also request some opinions on what scrolls to collect because I went with 3-20-3 crossbow, dual turrets and he murdered me with 15% health left....

To add to my own thoughts. Some balancing of weapons, damage, and health could greatly help not just the Giant fight but the game as a whole.

On 2 BC you may as well heal your way thru with survival to approach him at full strength and even tankier without sacrificing damage output(maybe even having it better).

Boi, the health already skyrocketed like twice, no need for more really(if that's what you mean).

Giant's hard, meant to be hard unfortunately. The Caverns drops better items than High Peak Castle, and the Giant himself is stronger, in my opinion, than HotK. I doubt they'll make him easier than HotK since he drops the last boss stem cell.

I do know that if you get to the Giant through the Forgotten Sepulcher and get the 60 kill door you still receive the items as if you finished the Caverns. On 4/5 cell that's level 13 items, including necklaces which have 4 stats. So that's pretty good.

Tips i discorvered earlier: The shards doesn't fall on sides of the arena^^.

I usually met the Giant with at least a Shield, because you can parry his fire projectiles and his Falcon Punch. But you cannot parry his fire geysers and his stomp Punch.

Btw, you can stop his punchs charging by breaking it^^.

Before, i thought the Giant was stronger than the Hand, but after a run when i just try to learn Giant' pattern, and discovered how a shield is useful xD, he seems kinda easier than the Hand and even the Time keeper.

Keep in mind you can buy Tier 9/10 weapons in the Caverns, try to save your gold to buy at least one since it's a pretty big damage increase.
My main gripe with him is that he's both tanky AND spends the majority of the fight in what is essentially an invincibility phase. Choose one or the other (and even then invincibility phase bosses aren't something I'm particularly fond of), slapping both on a boss is just obnoxious.

i got the giant on 2nd attempt playing with the big 2handed sword (idk the name in english) that deals crits for 2nd and 3rd strike, you just have to roll when he tries to shove you in lava and if you use shield counter all the projectiles and you're good
