Keyboard vs. Controller?
I tend to like an play most of my singleplayer games with a controller, but considering the type of game this is, and I am in the process of a move and do not currently have said controller, is it better or about the same to play with the keyboard and mouse?

Essentially, I am looking at grabbing this soon, but should I jump right into it with keyboard and mouse, or wait a bit before I am able to use my controller again?

Controllers are for losers. Keyboard and mouse.

Keyboard by itself works fine too. Most people are just not used to it.

A controller is "recommended." But you can easily play this game with a keyboard mouse.

I highly recommend a controller.

Well it seems people who generally prefer to play on keyboards can play on keyboard with this game just fine, and people who prefer controllers don't seem to have any (gameplay-related) problems either (though controllers not being recognized can be a issue with some games).

So it kinda boils down to what you prefer, and it'll work just fine. Keyboard works fine for me, rebound a few keys and it was good to go. Don't even need the mouse, though it's a option.

Alright. Thanks!

Personnaly, I cannot recommend a controller enough. "PC master race" is braindead if they think that a keyboard is the best thing to play every game there is. It works for Dead Cells, but a controller is 100000% better for such games.

Keyboard is fine. I'm not an action player, usually I go for turn based, and so for that reason, never bought a controller. But the K + M works very fine.

That's not what anyone here is saying. We are saying he is fine playing with a keyboard if he would rather. No one ever said anything about "pc master race" and "keyboard is the best thing to play every game."

Eh, like what, 90% of the games out there will work fine with a keyboard if the devs took the time to add key binding? Maybe even more. It's exceptionally rare, as far as i'm aware, that a game cannot be played decently on keyboard and mouse (assuming there's key rebinding, if it lacks that then i wouldn't qualify it as controllers being better, its just the devs being freakin' lazy to add key rebinding).

And it would only be a few games (mostly simulators) with specialized controllers, and a rare few games that somehow require 2 movement inputs AND action inputs that somehow cannot be replicated with keyboard and mouse. Nearly anything that plays on a grid or is 2D works exceptionally well on keyboard due to tight and lag-free buttons.
Even 'Ghosting' isn't a problem with the right keyboard, or simply using the arrow keys since those don't trigger it in combination with other keys.

So, yeah... Guess that's getting mildly off-topic. Doing great on DC with a keyboard, though, while running a mostly-Brutality build with a shield and just going into enemies faces and blocking/dodging attacks easily.

It's not so much as "if I'd rather" but more so of I don't have a controller since I'm in the process of moving and only have the keyboard and mouse to play games on my potato computer.

Still, thanks everyone for the answers!

At least controller users don't have to insult people to make their point.

Yes, because ALL controller users have NEVER insulted anyone while saying an opinion and ALL keyboard and mouse uses ALWAYS insult people while saying an opinion.

This is enough. I asked about if playing this game with a keyboard and mouse was fine because I left my controller for the movers to pack by accident. I tried playing Dark Souls with the keyboard and mouse, and it was not a fun time. This game recommends a controller to play, so I was curious about it.

This is not meant for a little flame war as to "KB+M MASTER RACE REEEEEEE" or "CONTROLLER BEST", I just wanted to know about this game and this game specifically. If you are going to trash talk the other control scheme, go to a different thread.
