directinput is outdated AFAIK.
UPDATE: SunBro, setting it up in Big Picture Mode worked! I can finally enjoy Dead Cells better.
Try JoyToKey.
It lets you bind keyboard keys to your controller buttons. When you press a button, JoyToKey tells your computer that you're pressing the corresponding keyboard key.
The game will simply think that you're playing using your keyboard.
I never heard the DING! , am i doing something wrong?
when the x360ce opens.
After, go to Options, in Installed Files check the box xinput9_1_0.dll, go back to Controller 1 or 2 and put save.
See if all the keys are working inside the x360ce then save and go to the game, if it does not work test with more marked boxes.
Tested x360ce with 32bit version (x86).
You can try to do the same with the 64bit version of x360ce.
Thank you for the solve. If it doesn't works make this changing on the 32 bit boxes on the left side of the 64 bits(First line and the last line). It works for me like this
